Enrollment Process
One Newark Enrolls is a system of choice where all families can access great schools for their children, regardless of the school’s status as district or charter. The system is available to any Newark family wishing to enroll their child in a new school for the upcoming year. Students may rank up to eight school choices – both district and charter – on a single application. They will then receive a single offer to attend the best possible school given their selections. Apply Now and be sure to choose Achieve Community Charter School as your top choice!

Eligibility: Achieve Community Charter School is open to all Newark residents. We do accept applications for non-Newark residents, however, preference will be given to Newark residents in the lottery.
Completing Your Application:
- Completing an online application on http://newarkenrolls.org is the easiest way to apply to Achieve Community Charter. Families can apply for all siblings at once and upload required documents (birth certificate and residency documents) to their applications.
- If you already have a School Mint account, you do not have to create a new one.
- Families new to Newark will need to request a School Mint login by clicking ‘Register for School Mint”. Your student's information will be verified and an account will be created for you. You will receive account login details to your email address once the information is verified.
- Current Achieve families do not need to reapply or create a new application for the next school year. Returning families are only asked to submit residency documents to secure their seat(s) for the following year. We will reach out to you to collect your reverification residency documents in the spring.

FAQs
-
What are the next steps after I complete my application?
Applicants who apply by the January 29th deadline will receive their match letters by mail in mid-April. Any applications submitted once the application reopens in April will be processed via waitlist pulls. All results will be accessible online in late April on your School Mint account. Initial matches and waitlist pull acceptances will be relayed to families by telephone and/or email from our Scholar Enrollment team. Once families accept their seat(s), our team will reach out to collect required documentation to complete enrollment.
-
Will my student receive their first choice?
The only reason a Newark student would not get into his or her first choice would be if the school does not have enough seats for all applicants. When a student does not receive his or her first choice, the matching process will move down the student’s list of schools in order to place the student in his or her highest-ranked school with available seats.
-
Can my scholar be matched to a school that isn’t listed on his/her application?
In rare cases, if a student needs a new school (e.g. 8th grade) and only lists one or two schools, the student may be matched to their neighborhood school if the number of applicants exceeds the number of seats at their ranked schools. Applicants are never matched to a charter school unless they list it on their application.
-
I would like my scholars to attend the same school as their siblings. What should I do?
With the exception of magnets, applicants who have a sibling currently attending the school receives the highest priority at the school. Siblings who are applying at the same time receive priority to be matched together. If one of the students is matched to a school, his/her sibling(s) will be given preference to be matched to the same school. If your children require Special Education services, we may not be able to match them together due to their IEP program requirements.
